This bride had a few bumps along the road, but that didn’t stop her from having a gorgeous Cabo San Lucas wedding! Sara and Will met on Tinder! They wanted a beach meets desert wedding to go with their boho theme, and knew that Cabo was the place for it! With the reported Zika virus scaring people from traveling, 5 of Sara’s closest friends, including her MOH did not attend! Although moving the wedding location did cross her mind, she decided to keep it in Cabo because that was such a special place for her and Will. The day they left for Mexico, they closed on their first house. Sara and Will’s stress levels were at an all-time high. They were literally sitting in the escrow office hours before their flight took off! Their priest had a horrible case of food poisoning and barely was able to make it through the reception to top it all off!
Sara told us, “We ended up having exactly 100 people and it was a dreamy weekend of celebration and love. It was filled with surprises for guests at each turn, and despite some unexpected ups and downs throughout the planning and weekend-of, it was absolutely perfect. We had little surprises guests throughout the night such as a heart shaped piñata that dropped at 11pm, filled with Mexican candies; a late-night Churro cart; hand painted maracas at each chair and more!” She wore her mom’s wedding dress from 1972, which also cost only $72. It fit like a glove so the only change she made was to make it a bit more modern by shortening it. She changed into it after the speeches so she could get her groove on, on the dance floor.
