Jessa Duggar Breaks Tradition With A Blush Dress and NO First Kiss
Another Duggar has tied the knot! Jessa Duggar (21) and Ben Seewald (19) wed on Saturday, November 1st in front of 1,000 close family and friends at the First Baptist Church in Bentonville, Ark. The couple, whose entire courtship has been documented on TLC’s series “19 Kids and Counting,” got engaged in August of this year.
While Jessa and Ben followed many of the same courtship rules as Jill and Derrick (who wed in June of this year), they did decide to break a few traditions! Even though their wedding won’t air on the show until next season, here’s what we already know:
– According to US Weekly, Jessa opted for a blush colored wedding dress with cap sleeves and an embellished bodice. She carried a bouquet of anemones, garden roses, eucalyptus, and coral roses to match her beau’s coral bow tie.

– If Jessa’s avant-garde dress wasn’t enough, the couple decided NOT to have their much anticipated first kiss on the altar. They asked Jessa’s parents kiss in their stead and opted to have a private first smooch post-ceremony.
– After their ceremony and intimate first kiss, the couple celebrated their union with another non-traditional wedding detail: ice cream sundaes!
– Jessa and Ben made their grand getaway in a romantic horse-drawn carriage.
We’ll reveal more details about the wedding as we hear them, but in the meantime, explore Duggar-inspired wedding details on Lover.ly!
