The Personal Touches These High School Sweethearts Brought to Their Big Day are Perfection
When it came to the proposal, Jeff knew that Kaarin didn’t want an elaborate scavenger hunt or flash mob (for fear of breaking down in tears!)—she was hoping for something much more intimate. They planned a weekend in the city to celebrate their dating anniversary, and after checking into their hotel, the lovebirds sat back to relax in their room before heading to dinner and a show that night. Jeff gave Kaarin a small piece of paper, as they often exchanged love notes with each other before business trips, vacations, big events in their lives, so this was nothing out of the ordinary.
But as she finished reading the little letter, she could tell something much bigger was about to happen. Jeff got down on one knee just then and popped the big question! Needless to say, Kaarin was completely thrown off. It was simple and sweet, and the hotel became a very special spot for the pair, who went back there on their wedding night this past August.
Kaarin and Jeff tied the knot on the beautiful grounds of Lord Hill Farms in Snohomish, Washington and the beautiful greenery that surrounded the grounds inspired their wedding style more than anything.
They opted for a classic, elegant vibe, and plenty of handmade details that allowed for one-of-a-kind décor.
The bridesmaids donned light grey dresses and carried pretty pink bouquets for an added pop of color.
Kaarin fell in love with the lace and swiss dot detailing that made up her trumpet-shaped La Sposa gown, accessorized with a rhinestone stone belt. She wore her natural curls pinned into an updo and finished her look with a lace-trimmed cathedral veil that her mom made just for her.
Engaged for eighteen months, the couple relied heavily on their established wedding planning timeline to slowly but surely cross off all their wedding planning tasks. This allowed them to really enjoy the process without rushing and stressing.
Creating a fun atmosphere and fabulous party for their family and friends was a number one priority. They love to dance and have a good time, so hiring a live band to play at the reception was “the best decision” they made (and they have the photos to prove it).
Of course, a sparkler send off was the best ending to a beautiful celebration. Here’s to your happily ever after, Kaarin and Jeff!
