A Rare SoCal Snowstorm Turns into a Perfect Proposal

When it snows in California, you make the most of the moment. Some people went sledding, others drank hot chocolate, but according to the Patch, one man had something more special in mind. On December 31st, Temecula (SoCal’s wine country) was transformed into a winter wonderland, and Peter Minegar decided to scratch his original proposal plan in favor of popping the question in a snow-covered park. Here’s how the whole thing went down (according to his sister):

“He had planned on proposing that evening and had made a beautiful plan for the day. But then there was the snow. So my mom and I woke him up and said, ‘you’ve GOT to do it in the snow.’ (Sam [his girlfriend] has always said it would be a dream to get engaged in the snow.) While he picked her up, my mom, other brother, and I went and hid in the bushes around the rose garden so we could take pictures of them.”

Here’s the magical scene they captured:

So romantic, right? And…Sam said yes! Congrats to the happy couple.
