How to Include Both Your Moms In Your Wedding

Collect, manage, and organize your wedding guest information for each event and track their preferences.
With today's families becoming less traditional and more unique, modern couples must give careful thought to how they honor their loved ones on the big day. If you or your S.O. have two mothers, you'll want to make personalizations to ensure that both feel special at your wedding. Here are six simple ways to show your moms some love on the big day. https://www.instagram.com/p/BUcVOUXBvvb/ 1. Make sure to include both of their names on the invitation. The etiquette behind wedding invitation wording can be a bit tricky! If your mothers are hosting the wedding, choose to write their names as they would like to be listed. They could be listed as “Mrs. and Mrs. Samantha Brown,” “Mrs. and Mrs. Samantha and Judy Brown” or “Mrs. Samantha Brown and Mrs. Judy Brown.” 2 Give planning responsibilities to each parent. Delegate tasks to each of your mothers while planning the wedding, taking into account which action items they would be most excited to help with. 3 Have your mothers walk you down the aisle. If you’re the bride, walk arm in arm with your mothers down the aisle. If you’re the groom, feel free to escort both of your mothers down the aisle before taking your place at the altar. 4 Allow your mothers to recite readings during the ceremony. To give both of your mothers a special role in the ceremony, have them recite their favorite reading. 5 Have a fun dance with both of your mothers. Who says the Mother/Son or Father/Daughter dance have to be traditional? Choreograph a number with your mothers, or dance for half of the song with one, and half of the song with the other. 6 Give your moms a chance to toast!  Allow your mothers to give toasts at the reception if they desire.
