Drinking water is the best thing you can do for your health, your skin, and your vitality leading up to your wedding.Water helps flush toxins from your cells, regulates body temperature, and replenishes nutrients to all your vital organs. Our bodies are made up of over 70 percent water and our brain is nearly 80 percent water. Without proper hydration our brains, organs and cells simply can’t properly function. Drinking enough water boosts your metabolism, detoxifies your system, aids in weight loss, and prevents over-eating. Sleep and mood are also greatly affected by how hydrated you are, as dehydration reduces melatonin, which makes it harder to fall asleep. While hydration is the key to success when it comes to feeling happier, healthier and more energetic. However, plain old water can get boring really fast, so try these four infused waters instead.

1. Cucumber and Mint. You need: 1. 1/2 bunch mint leaves, stems removed. 2. 2 small lebanese cucumbers, peeled and sliced. Place mint leaves into a large glass jug and gently bruise them using the end of a wooden spoon or rolling pin (this releases the oils for a more intense flavor). Add cucumber slices and fill the jug with filtered water. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving. The water keeps for up to two days. 2. Citrus Circus. You need: 1. 2 lemons, zested, then peeled and sliced into rounds. 2. 1 navel orange, peeled and sliced into rounds. 3. 1 blood orange, peeled and sliced into rounds. Zest the lemon peel by lightly grazing the yellow skin using a microplane, fine grater or zester — avoid grating into the white pith as this can be bitter. Add zest into a large glass jug along with slices of lemon and oranges, and fill the jug with filtered water. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving. Your citrus water will be fresh for up to two days. 3. Apple Cider Spritzer You need: 1. 1 glass club soda or sparkling mineral water. 2. 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (or to taste). 3. 1 teaspoon honey. Mix all ingredients in a tall glass and stir well to combine. 4. Berry and Basil Blitz You need: 1. 1/4 cup raspberries, fresh or frozen. 2. 1/4 cup strawberries, fresh or frozen. 3. 1/4 cup blackberries, fresh or frozen. 4. 8-12 basil leaves, torn. Place berries and basil in a large glass jug and fill it with filtered water. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving. Keeps for up to one day. Want a chance to be featured on Loverly?
