“Strappliqué” is the Wedding Dress Trend You Didn’t Know You Loved (Until Now)

Yes, Bridal Fashion Week just got underway here in New York, but we’re already obsessing over a wedding dress trend we didn’t even know we loved until we saw it come down the runway. Welcome to the wedding world, “strappliqué.” (Yeah, we coined it.)

That’s right. Straps are getting a major upgrade right now, with bits of lace that extend from the top of the bodice and flowery add-ons decked out with beads or sequins. With this darling detail stealing the spotlight at this season’s Bridal Market, we expect more and more brides to say “so long” to strapless styles in favor of this stunning new look.
