Bridal Fashion Week 2016 Just Proved That Pink Is the New White

Here in New York City, the lace, ruffles, and tulle have finally settled and 2016 Bridal Fashion Week has come to a close. But that doesn’t mean we aren’t still dreaming about the uh-mazing gowns brides will be wearing down the aisle next year! Oh, and there’s one pretty hue that’s coloring all of our wedding fantasies…

From understated, minimalist designs to the ultimate fairy tale wedding dresses, pink made a serious splash this season. Yes, blush has definitely been a player in the bridal gown game, but designers turned it up a notch this season with deeper pinks, softer corals, and dip-dyed ombres! Shying away from the traditional white gown, these fresh iterations of the rosy hue clearly show they make quite a statement on their own. Modern brides, get ready to marvel over the debut of these mesmerizing shades of pink…

Ivy & Aster took on a romantic-meets-bohemian style, dressing up the bride in a frothy, blush tulle gown, layered with lace. And how chic is that coordinating blazer?

What an exquisite show Mark Zunino put forth on the runways this year! From the plunging V-neckline to the varying sherbet shades of pink and festive florals, he fully embraced dusty blush. You can bet it was a major hit.

“There is a bit of magic in every Morilee bride with her classic elegance and timeless romance.” Inspired by dreams and fantasies, it’s no wonder why Morilee’s Spring 2017 Collection looks like it’s straight out of a fairytale. Designer Madeline Gardner masterfully hid sparkle netting beneath the soft creamy colors to achieve the perfect bit of shine.

“My glass case is filled with beautiful confections. You’ll find gowns with delicate vines and petite flowers. You’ll find some with just a touch of sweetness in their lace overlay.” Ines Di Santo wanted to create the feeling of entering a beautiful patisserie, and her collection depicted just that. The multi-colored, embroidered details overlaying the soft blush is beyond gorgeous.
