7 Signs Your Relationship Won't Survive "Cuffing Season

It's that time of the year again. "Cuffing Season" is in full effect. What's that, you ask? It's a modern phenomenon that goes down during the fall and winter months, when people who tend towards the single or promiscuous life suddenly want to be "cuffed" or tied down by a serious relationship. Hey, it's cold out there...
If you do happen to find your normally-single self in a seemingly-awesome relationship, it can be hard to tell if it's the real deal or just a seasonal blip... But never fear, because here are seven signs your relationship won't last through cuffing season:
1. He or she doesn't want to make long-term plans.
Sure, your bae is totally down for a tailgate this weekend, but absolutely panics when you mention that European vacation you've been dying to take next summer. Either you're taking things way too fast, or he or she has no intention of dating you beyond the season.
2. You never leave the house.
Your typical date night consists solely of "Netflix and Chill." All chance of romance has gone out the window, and you've fallen into an extremely comfortable rut.
3. You feel like you can't be honest with your partner.
You're scared to tell him or her the truth out of fear that they'll leave you. You don't want to risk starting an argument and ruining something that's going so well.
4. Your typical date night wardrobe consists of sweatpants, t-shirts, and the occasional Snuggie.
Don't get us wrong, we're all about comfort! But sometimes, it feels good to get dressed up and go out for a night on the town. If you and your partner have lost the desire to maintain personal hygiene or feel sexy around each other, something is wrong.
5. He or she doesn't want to introduce you to family and friends.
Your partner will talk about his or her family and friends on the reg, but won't make any solid plans for you to meet them. You feel like your partner has you trapped in a bubble.
6. Your partner has a wandering eye.
You can't help but notice that he or she always seems to be on the lookout for the next best catch. If your partner's wandering eye is starting to take a major toll on your self esteem, it's time to un-cuff.
7. Once Valentine's Day passes, your partner seems distant.
You had the MOST romantic Valentine's Day (a home-cooked meal, surprise concert tickets...), but now you can't seem to get a hold of your partner. Nobody should take 24 hours to respond to a text message. Does your relationship display one or more of these signs? If so, it's totally okay to end things. Just because it's cuffing season, doesn't mean you have to be in an unhealthy relationship!
