7 “Bachelor” Relationships That Ended for the Better
With the premiere of Ben Higgins’ season of “The Bachelor” and some recent #BachelorNation engagement news, we can’t help but think about what happens after the final rose. Some couples do have their happy ending, but not everyone is left standing with a flower and a huge Neil Lane diamond at the end of the season.
While a heartbreaking rejection and televised ugly cry are super brutal, there are definitely some “Bachelor” and “Bachelorette” relationships that ended for the better. Here are seven recent contestants that found love after the show.
1. Nikki Ferrell and Tyler Vanloo.
Nikki Ferrell (the winner of Juan Pablo Galavis’ season) announced on Monday that she’s engaged to longtime friend Tyler Vanloo. Ferrell and Galavis split last year after he famously refused to say, “I love you.” During Monday’s episode of “Bachelor Live,” host Chris Harrison congratulated Ferrell, saying, “She finally got the engagement she always dreamed of.”
2. Renee Oteri and Bracy Maynard.
Nikki isn’t the only one from Juan Pablo’s season who has moved on. In 2014, just months after it ended, Renee Oteri married her best friend Bracy Maynard at a simple City Hall wedding. The couple now has a one-year-old son together, Jax.
3. Sharleen Joynt and Andy Levine.
Opera singer Sharleen Joynt, also from Pablo’s season, got engaged to Andy Levine following the show. They announced their engagement on Instagram last year.
4. Emily Maynard and Tyler Johnson.
Former “Bachelor” contestant and season 8 star of “The Bachelorette,” Emily Maynard, found love after two failed engagements. Emily met current husband Tyler Johnson through her hometown church. Maynard and Johnson now have a son, Jennings, as well as Maynard’s daughter from her previous marriage, Ricki.
5. Kacie Boguskie and Rusty Gaston.
Two-time “Bachelor” contestant, Kacie Boguskie (she appeared on Ben Flajnik and Sean Lowe’s seasons) married music executive Rusty Gaston in an adorable country affair in 2014. Last year, Boguskie and Gaston welcomed their first son.
6. DeAnna Pappas and Stephen Stagliano.
“Bachelorette” star DeAnna Pappas’ engagement to winner Jesse Csincsak ended just a few months after the last episode. But, the former contestant later found love with Stephen Stagliano, whose twin brother was a contestant in Pappas’ season. The pair wed in 2012 and has one child, with a second on the way.
7. Chris Lambton and Peyton Wright.
“Bachelor” and “Bachelorette” alums Chris Lambton and Peyton Wright found love after their perspective seasons ended during a “Bachelor” reunion. Lambton and Wright got married in 2011 and host the HGTV show “Going Yard.”
So, what do all these happy endings post-show mean? We think, there still might be a chance for you to find love with Ben Higgins…
