  • Apple Granola

    Little Apple Granola

Apple Granola - Energy-boosting snacks don’t have to be loaded with sugar, and this granola is undeniable proof. Satisfyingly crispy oats are mixed with protein-packed quinoa, almonds and pumpkin seeds. Little Apple picks juicy red apples from its certified organic orchards, then dries thin slices to add a pop of color and flavorful chew to your snacking routine. It’s pure joy in a bag. tip of the tongue Our not-sad desk lunch: Big, circular slices of apple, sandwiching CB’s Creamy Peanut Butter and a handful of cinnamon-y granola.

  • Coffee Cayenne Bar

    The Yes Bar

Coffee Cayenne Bar - Sweet, salty and spicy go hand in hand in this impressive snack bar. You know that cinnamon-cayenne kick you get from Mexican hot chocolate? Imagine that mixed with crunchy seeds and nuts, and the satisfying chew of dried fruit. HOLA! Why the name? Abigail Wald was tired of saying no to processed snacks full of ingredients she didn't want her son to have. So, she chose to do it herself, to craft her own satisfying, delicious, good-for-you snack overflowing with healthy whole ingredients, one that she (and we) can say YES to every time. tip of the tongue Plenty of fiber and protein make energizing Coffee Cayenne bars an unquestionably smart snack before your next marathon run (or grocery run). Try storing them in the fridge for a cool treat.

  • Extra Dark Drinking Chocolate

Extra Dark Drinking Chocolate - Love the tin. Love the name (Sucré is French for "sweetened"). Love the hot chocolate. Pastry chef Tariq Hanna grew up next to cacao farms in Nigeria, so he's learned a thing or two about exceptional chocolate. He makes his dark drinking chocolate from crushed whole beans, so it's intensely chocolate-y, but dissolves easily in milk. 65% single origin cacao from Venezuela makes for a rich yet comforting mug, perfect for sipping on a chilly walk or curled up on the couch. tip of the tongue Serve for dessert at your next dinner party along with a trio of marshmallows: Three Tart's vanilla bean, Wondermade pumpkin and Wondermade bourbon!

  • Decaf Peru

    Brooklyn Roasting Company

Decaf Peru - Calling all insomniacs: The one, the only, Decaf! We know it's possible to love coffee, yet hate caffeine, so we're thrilled to carry this sweet, clean, awesome coffee from our friends at Brooklyn Roasting Company. • Don Rafael Cacao Rum

    Cacao Prieto

Don Rafael Cacao Rum - Choco-holics rejoice! This is chocolate rum, and chocolate rum at its finest. First, Cacao Prieto distills the rum from a mix of organic cane sugar and organic, single-origin cacao sourced from a family farm in the Dominican Republic. Then, they infuse it with even more roasted cacao before aging for a year in oak barrels. This isn't a liqueur, because no sugar is added after distilling. It's an earthy, rich, chocolate spirit with hints of vanilla and oak from the barrel; and a small pour has become one of our very favorite desserts. tip of the tongue Make grown-up ice cream sodas at your next dinner party. Fill tumblers with a scoop of chocolate or walnut ice cream. Add a shot of Cacao Rum and a shot of Nocino walnut liqueur, then fill the glass with seltzer. Serve with spoons and straws.

  • James E. Pepper 1776 Straight Bourbon

    Georgetown Trading

James E. Pepper 1776 Straight Bourbon - This historically-inspired bourbon is aged for a minimum of four years and has a nice amount of rye mixed in with corn in the mash to add some spice and balance out the sweetness. We were sold on the taste alone, but this bottle also has a really interesting back story... The original James E. Pepper whiskeys are the oldest and most legendary whiskeys in the country! Established in 1776 (date sound familiar, American History buffs?), Pepper whiskeys were distilled throughout three generations, until production ceased in the 1950s. Georgetown Trading has brought back the fabled brand, and they did it justice, collecting and sampling bottles from throughout the Pepper history, from pre-, mid- and post-Prohibition production. They even acquired a "top secret" letter from Mr. Pepper himself, detailing his family recipe. Then they went in search of whiskeys that lived up to this tradition. tip of the tongue As bourbon has grown in popularity, several legendary brands have been reincarnated to celebrate the history of America’s contribution to the world of whiskey. It's history you can taste, so sip this one neat. ingredients 50% alcohol by volume; comes in a 750ml bottle.

  • Original Berkshire Granola

    BOLA Granola

Original Berkshire Granola - Granola maker Michele Miller learned firsthand from her Parisian mother (yes, we're envious, too) how important food is to life. After spending years in the restaurant industry, Miller decided it was time to start a new venture and began making granola by hand in the Berkshire hills of Massachusetts. Each bag is bursting with all organic grains so tasty you'll forget that the breakfast bowl is fulfilling your 20% of daily fiber (hate to bring up the F word, but just thought you'd want to know). We love a good cluster as much as the next person, but we're willing to roll with this whole-grain granola's chunk-free style – sweetened with only a touch of brown sugar, it's a light but satisfying start to the morning. Bonus points: the bag has a cool little scale indicating how much granola you've got left, from "Yes! I've got Bola" to "They ate all my granola!" With granola it's easy to throw the whole batch off with one wrong move, or end up with a mix that's missing that special something. But somehow, BOLA's Original granola manages to keep its ingredients to a minimum while still striking a bold and filling flavor. It's nothing but organic oats, almonds, brown sugar, pumpkin seeds and some other healthy pantry standbys, but together they make a lightly sweet snack so good you won't be able to believe it's healthy. It tastes like a log cabin in the Berkshire Mountains – not too far from the truth. Maybe it's that Parisian magic? Tip of the Tongue Eat it straight from the bag, in a bowl with milk (who needs cereal anyway?), or be a little bad and bake into a scrumptious apple crisp. Ingredients Organic rolled oats, almonds, brown sugar, pumpkin seeds, water, canola oil, wheat germ, organic wheat flour, organic flaxseed meal, wheat bran, pure vanilla extract, salt, vitamin E. Comes in a 16 oz. bag.

  • Marc de Gewürztraminer

    Clear Creek Distillery

Marc de Gewürztraminer - This crystal clear spirit is smooth and earthy with a nice kick followed by a clean finish. It's perfect to sip at the end a big meal, or to class up a round of shots. Clear Creek distills the stems, skins and seeds from the leftover grapes of Gewürztraminer wine, which come from nearby Tyee Winery. In the Alsace wine region of France, the locals have reached for a glass of Marc for centuries. But this style of spirit is more widely known by its Italian name, grappa. M ost people have only been exposed to the cheaper and rougher versions, but whatever name it goes by, Clear Creek's take is an amazing American revival of an iconic spirit. tip of the tongue Bring this the next time you're invited to a party where gooey cheeses and crusty baguettes are involved. Ooh la la! did you know? Marc and grappa are very similar in flavor to an un-aged brandy, but brandy is distilled from wine, while marc and grappa are distilled from grape seeds, skin and stems. ingredients 40% alcohol by volume; comes in a 375ml bottle.

  • Kings County Bourbon

    Kings County Distillery

Kings County Bourbon - This is a taste of New York history, bottled in a retro flask that we're totally obsessing over. So, once upon a time, NYC was a hub of distilling. Then Prohibition happened (boo!), and even after alcohol was once again legal, it took New York State a long, long time to re-legalize distilling (yay!). The folks at Kings County didn't miss a beat – they were really the first to bring spirits-making back to the city. Now settled into their new home in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, not far from our Mouth HQ, they're making an awesome Bourbon from local corn with some malted Scottish barley that reminds us, oddly enough, of fresh-baked pastry. Tip of the Tongue Kings County makes a great gift for lovers of Prohibition-era history! Check out the distillery's book “Guide to Urban Moonshining and learn how to make your own at home. We promise we won't tell the coppers.

  • Tequila Spiked Chocolate Sauce

    Dude, Sweet Chocolate

Tequila Spiked Chocolate Sauce - Lightly-aged tequila brings out the tropical fruit and caramelized sugar notes in this South American chocolate. It's got a taste of the wild and fun side that earns it the name "One Night Stand," but you'll definitely want a second date. There was a time when it seemed you could get drunk on chocolate sauce alone. See: family photos of baby you, your smiley face happily smeared with it. So it's only logical that someone decided to combine the nostalgia of chocolate sauce with tequila, another adult favorite. It's good to be a grown up. Tip of the Tongue Feisty and feisty go together. Pair this party potion with spicy cinnamon – in an ice cream float or sundae topped with cinnamon ice cream, drizzled over cinnamon coffee cake, or mixed with warm milk and cinnamon to make Mexican hot cocoa. Ingredients Agave syrup, 100 Anos Tequila Reposado (100% agave), 72% S. American chocolate (cocoa beans, cane sugar, cocoa butter, soy lecithin, vanilla bean), cane sugar, Valrhona cocoa powder, sea salt. Comes in a 4 oz bottle. NOTE: Produced in a facility that handles tree nuts, dairy, and soy.

  • Sugar Wash Moonshine

    Dutch's Spirits

Sugar Wash Moonshine - This "moonshine" is technically a white rum, so it's sweet and clean with a delicious hint of vanilla. Sugar Wash deserves the more storied name, though, because it's made on Harvest Homestead Farm in New York, where federal agents once discovered a one-of-a-kind, illegal, underground distillery run by legendary mobster Dutch Schultz. Sugar Wash is inspired by Dutch's moonshine made on the farm during Prohibition. Today, they (legally) distill pure Demerara sugar in traditional pot stills. tip of the tongue Try it in a Moonshine Mule, recipe courtesy of the distiller: Combine 2 oz Sugar Wash, 3/4 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice, 1/2 oz simple syrup, 3 dashes of Angostura bitters, 1 tsp of chopped fresh ginger and 4-5 mint leaves in a cocktail shaker with lots of ice. Shake until very cold and strain into a highball glass filled with fresh ice. Top with club soda and garnish with a mint leaf. ingredients Distilled from 100% Demerara sugar; 40% alcohol by volume; comes in a 750ml bottle.

  • theARTof redwine 2012

    Artur Podniesinski

theARTof redwine 2012 - When we tasted this gem made of 100% sustainably-farmed Syrah from a top-secret vineyard, we knew we'd found the one for us. With luscious full body and a bold, earthy flavor, it’s a terrific table wine for meat dishes but interesting enough to drink all by itself. Wait, there's more: Then we found out that Artur Podniesinski has only been making wines since 2008, when he started working as a an intern at Figge Cellers in Monterey, California. Only tiny amounts are made by hand, so our desire to keep on drinking it is so strong. tip of the tongue Artur recommends drinking this wine with a burger, not just because they're a perfect match, flavor-wise, but also because he thinks people should drink his wine in a relaxed, fun setting. ingredients 14.4% alcohol by volume; comes in a 750ml bottle.

  • Vya Extra Dry Vermouth

    Quady Winery

Vya Extra Dry Vermouth - Quady Winery knew their bartender friends were tired of using bland, big-brand vermouths ( wines infused with botanicals and fortified with neutral spirits) to make classic drinks like martinis and negronis. Despite vermouth's slow climb to popularity in the U.S., they decided to take a risk. Their extra-dry vermouth makes us proud, showcasing a blend of Orange Muscat and dry white wines, infused with a secret combo of over 15 herbs and spices, and neutral grape spirits to fortify the mix. With every sip, we're transported further into a dreamy garden, fresh and breezy with sweet-smelling flowers and soft green leaves. (Oh yes.) Beautifully vibrant and aromatic, with impressive balance, we're happy sipping it straight. But it's also our go-to for cocktails. tip of the tongue What better way to celebrate this awesome dry vermouth than with an old-school, vermouth-heavy Martini: Combine 2 oz dry gin (we like Russell Henry London Dry) with 1 ounce Vya vermouth and 1 dash orange bitters over ice in a mixing glass. Stir until very cold and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a lemon twist (or, you know, an olive). ingredients 8.75% alcohol by volume; comes in a 750ml bottle.

  • Widow Jane 7 Year Straight Bourbon Whiskey

    Cacao Prieto

Widow Jane 7 Year Straight Bourbon Whiskey - Cacao Prieto's chocolate was one our very first products when we first launched in early 2012. Since then, we've waited eagerly and patiently for the chance to also sell their outstanding bourbon! Caramel upfront, a beautiful vanilla finish and just enough sweetness? We're so glad it's here! The Cacao Prieto family sources this 7-year old whiskey from Kentucky, then adds water from the old Widow Jane limestone quarry in Rosendale, New York to bring it to proof (45.5% alcohol). One of the secrets behind making great whiskey is that it requires water with remarkable flavor; in fact, most whiskeys are more than half water. Mineral-rich limestone water is particularly prized for Bourbon production, especially in bourbon-rich, mineral-rich Kentucky. The Widow Jane quarry has even more limstone-y water – so it's even better. Daniel Preston and his Cacao Prieto family had a history of growing cacao and making rum in the Dominican Republic, on their farm called "Coralina." It was only natural for them to do both in the new Brooklyn business, and it's only natural that we love this bourbon just as much as the aforementioned chocolate. tip of the tongue Widow Jane’s bottles are hand-numbered and dated, so they make a distinctive gift. ingredients 45.5% alcohol by volume; comes in a 750ml bottle.
